"Steady now girl steady," i said as the unnamed red blanketed Appaloosa/mustang mare reared high up in the air. Hooves flashed threw the air as i picked the blanket. She kicked in every direction. I laughed as she bucked and kicked in every direction. I could not name her no matter how hard i tried. She was extremly abused and mis treated, i got her from Lt. Smith. He would hit the mare hard across the head and make her run faster and faster untill her legs shook. he had her jump higher and high witch she would have loved if she wasnt forced to do it.
My name is Sara and i stole her out of the barracks. I threw a rope around her neck and dragged her the whole way to our village. i put her in our corral and it starts her. I then decided to name her Dahlia after the red wildflower.
I sent her in circles round me and she reared high and kick out. i pushed her forward and made her move her feet. I then turned my back to her. She turned quick and watched me. I could hear her breath. She walked toward me and touched my shoulder but pulled away quickly. i took a step forward and she followed. she had all her focus on me untill her and i saw little creek galloping Rain toward me he was yelling and screeming.

Little Creek was yelling something about an attack. "Soldiers are here," he yelled as he and Rain went around to warn the village.

I grabbed my "main horse" (the horse i ride most) and threw a halter over Dahlia's head and i jumped on my main horses back. My main horse is a qh palimino mare named Millie i kicked Millie hard and yanked on Dahlia's lead to get her to follow Millie who i directed over behind Rain and i followed Little Creek too...

"Duck," Little Creek shouted. They ducked as the soldier had fired his gun off. Then there was this horse far in the distant fighting his rider's every command. He neighed loudly. His coat was dark bay. He looked almost black until he moved and the sunlight hit his coat and made it have a brownish shine to it. The horse's eyes were wide and the whites of the horses eyes could be seen. The soldier kept kicking his horse and yanking on the reins harder and harder every time the horse did not listen. The horse whinnied in pain. The horse stopped hard every time the soldier got him to move. Then the soldier got his crop and hit the horse on it's hindquarters. The horse jumped forward, not wanting to be hit again. The soldier directed the horse toward the indians.

understood and had an idea. Little Creek rode Rain at the soldier having horse problems. The other soldier horses were starting to get fussy because of the other horse was upsetting the others. The dark bay horse stopped and tossed his head up in the air. Rain and Little Creek rode right by the soldier close enough to bump the horse and rider. The horse started to panic even more to the point that he started to rear. The horse landed and bumped into the horse that was running past him with one of the soldiers. The rider on the dark bay horse fell off. The other soldier's horse bolted forward off in another direction, away from the indian village. The soldier on the ground was a little injured, so some of the other soldiers helped right away onto another horse. They were not about to stick around that area. With their horses going crazy. So the soldiers all kicked their horses into a gallop and all of them left. The dark bay horse was still freaked out and was rearing and then ran toward a path by the river. The stirrup hit the horse's sides as he ran. The reins were starting to fall.

I threw the rope for Dahlia to Littlecreek and sped off after the horse knowing how much danger the horse was in. Millie galloped hard and the bay kept runing. Millie was not fast enough to catch him so i turned her around and troted disapointed like back to little creek. I took the lead from him and told him good luck.

Little Creek turned Rain in the direction in which the horse had headed. About an hour later, Little Creek came riding back to the village with the dark bay horse. The horse kept pulling and kept his distants from Rain and Little Creek. The horse was still freaked out. He could not stand being around humans. He just could not trust them.

Little Creek lead the horse into their small corral. He shut the gate. Little Creek got Rain closer to the dark bay horse. He had to reach over to undo the saddle. Little Creek knew that if he was on the ground he could get hurt badly. The saddle and saddle-pad slipped to the ground. The horse moved away a little. Then Little Creek quickly got the bridle off. He had to be careful, but quick. The bridle came off. Little Creek moved Rain away from the dark bay horse. The horse bolted to the other end of the corral. Little Creek got off Rain and lead her quickly and quietly out of the corral. The dark bay horse did not move from his spot at the other end of the corral. Little Creek and Rain stood near Sara. "Caught him for ya," Little Creek said. The horse started to break out into a nervous sweat. He began to pace at the one end of the corral, not daring to get close to where the humans stood outside of the corral.

i quickly undid Dahlia's halter as she missed biting me. She ran over to the mare to investigate. they sniffed noses and then pulled back from one another and Dahlia chased her around. I had both them going in one direction and asked them to stop by turning away from them both of them like magic walked up to my back and i could feel the beath of them. I turnedd slightly and Dahlia darted backward but the bay stood still as i tryed to touched his face i heard little creek say

"I didn't think you'd be able to touch that stallion," Little Creek said. The stallion's name was Taos. He did not trust many humans, but he felt something different in this human than he had ever felt about another human before. Taos pulled away a little. He looked over at the mare.
